Backpack Buddies
The Backpack Buddies program is a cooperative effort between the faith-based community in Pasquotank County and the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank County School System. We obtain food from the Food Bank, sort the food into plastic bags which are placed into tubs. Backpack Buddies packs a months worth of meals for 150 students. The meal bags are then picked up by the school social workers or by parents at a scheduled time.

Serving Others in Unity and Love is a cooperative effort among the churches in Pasquotank County to provide meals for the hungry. An evening meal is served at the old Elizabeth City Middle School Monday - Saturday at 5:30 pm. Meals are served outside while socially distancing with safety in mind. There are no requirements to receive a meal and no questions are asked of those who participate. You can help by donating prepared food, serving food or with a financial contribution.
Cann Memorial hosts the meal on the 4th Wednesday
of each month, serving between 50-75 people at each meal.
